- Red sweatshirt or cardigan.
- Navy tights or navy or white socks for girls.
- Navy socks for boys.
- Black or navy shoes.
- Gingham dress in red or blue, or navy shorts may be worn in the summer term.
All items, except the sweatshirt and polo shirt with school logo, may be purchased from any shop or major store. Clothing with embroidered logos can be purchased from AC Sports in Pemberton, Slaters in Wigan and Sportsline in Ashton in Makefield.
We do not consider that jewellery is suitable school wear. Children may wear watches and children with pierced ears may wear studs, but all other jewellery is discouraged on safety grounds. Large headbands with items attached and bandanas are not appropriate in school.
All jewellery, including earrings, must be removed when children are doing P.E. or swimming. We recommend that earrings be left at home on these days.
Bleached or coloured hair, tramline haircuts, shaved heads, Mohican cuts and shaved eyebrows are not allowed. Make-up is not appropriate for primary school children and should be removed before attending school; this includes nail varnish and nail extensions.
When children are taking part in Dance, P.E. or Games, they can come into school in the approved P.E. Kit:
- Red Hoodie with School Logo
- White T-shirt with School Logo
- Navy shorts (logo optional) or navy tracksuit bottoms/leggings in colder weather.
- Suitable footwear.
Long hair must be tied back during P.E. and Games activities; children can attend school in their kit on their appropriate day.
The P.E kit can be bought from any shop (unbranded), however, AC Sports of Pemberton, Slaters in Wigan and Sportsline in Ashton in Makerfield all stock the embroidered P.E clothing items.
This year children in Year 4 will go to the baths during the academic year. They will need suitable swimming wear and pupils with long hair will need a swimming cap.
