Welcome to Music at Newfold.
"At Newfold, Music is a subject enjoyed by both the pupils and teachers. We understand that through music, we are provided with a powerful universal language which helps promote unity, enables us to process and express our emotions, fuels our imagination and can give us an unrivalled sense of achievement. We aim to provide regular opportunities to learn, apply and strengthen pupils’ musicality through a stepped approach starting in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and proceeding throughout our key stages.
On this journey, pupils develop their skills of perseverance, listening and appraising, composing, singing, improvising and playing a musical instrument. Through music, we also want our children to learn about different traditions and cultures, developing their knowledge of a variety of styles, composers, singers and song-writers, to understand and respect the impact music has had on the world now, then and forever."

Performing Arts at Newfold.
At Newfold, we strive to allow as many pupils as possible the time to perform in front of an audience. From drama productions to singing and dance shows, children gain a wealth of confidence, self-motivation, team building and social skills.
