‘Friends of Newfold’ - We need you!
Friends of Newfold (FON) is a charity registered organisation which has been established to advance the education of pupils.
Members are volunteers made up of parents, carers and staff who co-ordinate and build a social community amongst parents, children and staff. We organise and host a number of social and fund-raising activities throughout the year, such as bingo nights, sponsored events, fairs, discos and bake sales. The proceeds of which enable us to support and fund a number of school initiatives that enhance our children's learning experience which they would otherwise not be able to enjoy.
All of the money we raise are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. We always endeavour to spend our funds in ways that will benefit all our children, across all areas of the school and curriculum and we always aim high with our ambitions!
Donations are extremely welcomed and important. These can be your time, money, items for sale, donations for raffles etc... and most importantly – supporting our events by attending them!
FON are always welcoming new members so if you have any questions, ideas or are interested in getting involved please email us at friends@newfold.org.uk or message us through our Facebook or Instagram page. There are many ways you could volunteer, such as contributing ideas, helping at stalls, counting money or supporting the organisation of events. It can be a one-off commitment and there is no pressure for any more than this. We have a great time and it is a good way to meet other parents, be involved with the community and raise much needed funds for our school.
